This thing downloader.lstbar has been pestering me since the last two weeks. AVG removes it while scanning and it reappears. Can anyone help me on this one please ?
I've had the same problem. Having tried various free Trojan removers with no success, I tried a different approach. AVG identifies the name of the file in my case it was something like lsbactive.dll, so I searched for that using Explorer and deleted it, having checked on the internet that it was not a required system file. AVG also identifies what Trojan it is e.g. lstbar. I then backed up the registry on my PC and then using Regedit which you start from the Run command I searched for all entries for 'lsb' and 'lstbar' and deleted them. This worked. However you have to be careful that you don't delete something you need in the registry.

The spyware program 'PestPatrol' will remove it.
I think that some more info is needed like what operating system you use, have you tried to do it from a bootscan, what virus detection system do you have before this can be answered.
I had this virus and Panda online scanner removed it! pandasoftware.com
