I don't know how far the tube penetrated into your block but something i would try is to get a sharp and small three conered file and try to file down the length of the tube . once you've cut through the entire length i would try to get a small pick or screwdriver and peel out the rest of the tube, perhaps using a magnet to help. worth a try- jack
You'll need to drain the oil pan, then remove it. Then take something and tap the old one out and install a new one. That is if you broke the tube. If just the dipstick is broken off, you'll still have to remove the oil pan and pull the old one out through the bottom of the tube. You will be able to see the end of it without the pan on.
If the timing belt has broken the engine will not start. If the belt broke you will have internal engine damage as this is an interference engine. The belt must be replaced every 60,000 miles. a quick way to verify if the belt is broken is to remove the distributor cap and turn the engine by hand. If the rotor does not turn the belt is broken. You can also remove the oil fill cap and look at the valve train. If you see no movement when the engine is turned by hand the belt is broken. Of course if the engine is locked up the belt is broken as the valves are hitting the pistons. quick way to confirm a
No, the engine will not run with a broken cam belt.
Engine will not start or run. Whatever you do, do not turn the engine over with the starter. This is an interference engine and if the belt is broke engine damage has already occurred and trying to start the engine will just do more damage. Best thing to do it to remove the cam belt cover and see if it is broken. Another way to identify a broken timing belt is to pull the valve cover and watch the OHC cam or valves while the engine is hand cranked but I would not do this as you can do more damage. Rest assured if you have not replaced the belt in the last 100,000 miles it very well may be broke.
If you can drive the car, the timing belt isn't broken. An engine will not start or run with a broken cam belt.
"It is broken." Broken is an adjective. Broke is a verb, the past tense of to break.
I use pliers to pull mine but I still have a bit of the plastic still there, only the pull ring broke off
You will have to use an Easy Out to remove the old broken bolt.
Engine stopped suddenly without warning and will not start. This is an interference engine and if the belt broke you will have internal engine damage. Belt should have been replaced at 105,000 miles. If you have less than 105,000 miles it more than likely is not a broken belt. Remove the distributor cap and tun the engine over. If the rotor does not turn the belt may be broken.
Flush the lock with a lubricant. Use the handle of the broken key as a guide. Find a thin wire and stiff it along the sides of the broken key part. Hold the wire in place and remove the part.
The present perfect tense of "broke" is "have broken."
The Dipstick tube is held in place by 1 bolt. Remove that bolt, pull the tube, insert new one, install bolt.
