FIRST OFF!!....look at the opposite side of the little white switch there should be a notch(small opening) ...cover it with tape...but make sure that it doesnt cover the bronze strips on the back....then put it in your computer..THEN FOLLOW THESE STEPS. 1. Go to Control Panel

2. Go to Administrative tools

3. Go to Computer management

5. Now on the right side you will have a list of all [[Q/How do you remove write protection from a mini SD card#|storage devices]] connected to your computer. Select the one that is your mini SD card. BE CAREFUL WHEN CHOOSING THIS BECAUSE YOU COULD FORMAT YOUR HARDDRIVE. Double check the name in My Computer

7. Enjoy your mini SD card without that annoying write protection

I've had this problem loads with these things and it's such a pain.

I would suggest trying it in a different card reader first because sometimes the card reader will tell you the card is write protected when it's really fine.

If that still doesn't work try to format it from a device - If it's one of those micro-SD cards put it in your phone and format it from there.

or If it's just an SD card try using your camera or whatever your device you use it for to format the card.

Usually though it's the card reader that is the problem and not the card itself.
