hello my knowledge of cars is quite great what axle are you changing, right or left? ither way you have to have some knowledge of cv axles and how they operate but if you dont mind a challenge, here it is pull front tire or tires off,#2 pull apart the tie rods and bal joints, #3 there is an bolt right in the middle of the wheel with a cotter pin going through that, remove both, then tap aroung the the spindal with a hammer to loosin the assembly, this assembly is connected to the cv axle. #4 at the other end of the axle, this is in the transmission, it will have a metal snap ring that goes around the end of it, just tug nor pull on the axle and it will pop out of the transmission, get a [pan ready to catch some fluid, you then can repeat this process to put it back together, its a good idea to check your brakes becaus you will be right there at the same time. i hope this helps you. p.s. be sure not to force the axle back in the transmission.
Yes.
It is under the car, just in front of the rear axle.
