You got to an autoparts store and buy a 9006 bulb. You open the hood, using the bracing metal strut so it won't close on your head or hand. You twist the burnt out bulb to get it out of the plastic housing. It's always the second direction you try. So if you try clockwise, it needs to be turned counterclockwise. Or vice versa. I don't know how they do that, must be something in another dimension of space. Then, when you can see what's going on, you take the old bulb off by finding the right plastic tab to press down. You look at it to confirm that it is burnt out -- it always is -- and throw it away. Now ou open the new bulb with a paper towel or napkin in hand so your fingers don't touch the glass -- there is an important superstition that halogen bulbs, as so many are nowadays, will explode if you fingerprint them. I have no idea if this is true, because I don't take those kind of chances. Now you snap the bulb back into the wire connector. There is some Murphy's law thing about putting the bulb back into the plastic headlight housing first, but if you do that, you won't be able to see how the bulb goes into the wire connector. So first you put it back on the wire. Now you can hold it by the plastic connectors, and try to get it back into the headlight housing. Again, however you put it in first will be wrong, and maybe several trials will be necessary, because the fitting isn't symetrical. But eventually you will get it into place, and can turn the car on and test the new bulb. Some autoparts stores will sell you conductive bulb grease, which will insulate the connection and reduce burnouts from moisture. You don't really need this, because now you know how to change the headlight. By the way, this is all in the manual. You didn't RTFM, did you? --Mark Zanger mzanger-at-comcast-dot-net This bulb is behind the battery and difficult to reach or even see. I had to remove the battery first.
It is probably easier to remove the plastic inner fender well and go in behind the bulb from the front wheel well. Less skinned knuckles, too.
There are 3 phillip head screws that secure the bulb in. Loosen the screws, turn the socket till tabs clear screws.
Squeeze tab on socket connector to remove bulb from socket.

The filaments inside bulbs are different wattages. It is best to replace the dead bulb.
Unscrew the Bolts, however there may be from the inside. Turn left to loosen then twist off and replace bulb.

Hey Franklin==What are you refering to as a cross beam??? Joe Hey Joe, The crossbeam I'm referring to is part of the frame. The tie rods connect to the crossbeam. The beam is damaged and one tie rod cannot be adjusted to correctly align the tire. Franklin : The 'cross beam' is called the rack and pinion assembly, and is not part of the frame.
