There are two screws on the outside of the tail light assembly.
Remove these two screws (keep them) and the assembly should be able to be removed from the truck.
Carefully twist the socket out of the tail light assembly.
Pull the old light bulb out of the socket and replace with new.
Insert the tail light assembly into position in the truck bed and replace the two screws.
if turn signals are working , and brake lights not working, i would replace the stop light switch on the brake pedal
it could be a combination of things like a blown fuse or a bad bulb or your brake switch on the top of your brake pedal could be bad, check and replace if you have to.
Adjust or replace the brake light switch.

On a 1989 Acura Integra hatch back the brake lights are reached through the hatch itself. The brake lights housing are on the rear of the vehicle. Unplug the bulbs and replace them.

ITS LOCATED AT THE TOP OF YOUR BRAKE PEDDLE YOU'LL HAVE TO GET ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES TO LOOK UP TO SEE IT . REMOVE IT TAKE IT TO THE PARTS STORE WITH YOU MATCH IT UP AND REPLACE IT
There is a shifter interlock switch on the brake pedal which also controls the brake lights
Get a new one .
