Turn key to the on position for 10 minutes until the security light stops flashing and turns off. Then take the key out and restart it. Its in your manual.

Its poor parts that GM choose to use. I love my Grand Ams ( on the 5th one)

The factory alarm causing the issue would be the security light flashing above the RPM guage. If the security light is flashing and the car will not start, follow the directions listed below.
