Batteries that are left in semi charged state start to deteriorate because of sulfations develop on the plates inside and lower the power. A good charger set on high can boil and remove some of the accumulation . Batteries have a life span of three to about six years. Check if your water levels inside are correct if possible . Fill with distilled water only. Insure that connections are clean and resistance free and check car charge system output is correct usually 13.5 to 14.3. Volts.
