There are LOTS of things you can do, that fall into these general categories, here are just a few:

• When you have to go just a few blocks away, go by foot or by bycicle.
• For larger trips, use public transportation whenever this is possible.
• Use energy-efficient light-bulbs.
• If you heat your house, putting the thermostat to a lower temperature will save some fuel.
• Get a solar system, to heat water for your house. (This will have a higher initial cost than the previous suggestions).
