You first start with saying what you were thinking when you acted or done whatever it is you did, then you say how you felt before and after you did it and for what reasons and causes it was for. You then try to tell the person you are explaining it to that you are deeply sorry but don't say it if it isn't true, speak what you truly feel and believe is the correct statement you felt. Also afterwards if that person accepts your apology or not, you should try to fix what you have done wrong, if it is un repairable then it's best to make it up to them, and then hope of for the best and let things cool down a bit.
