Its like the running man, or skipping backwards. But you put your elbows by your side at a 90 degree angle and push them back as you are "shuffling". If this doesn't help look up a video on YouTube.

Is the shuffle a cultural dance?

If you are referring to the soft shoe shuffle, where African American tap dancers in the early 1900's would put salt on a wood floor and shuffle to the beat of a drummers beat on a snare with brushes then I would say yes in context to black heritage and jazz and blues cultures of the time

What type of dance is Cat Daddy?

Its not really a type of dance. Its like jerking. Jerking isn't really a type of dance its just... Jerking. Now they invented Cat Daddy. Who knows what else they might invent next. There was Walk it out dance, Shuffling dance, Crank That dance, and so on. Cat Daddy is just... Cat Daddy. Dance it with almost any Hip hop song.No body really ever invented it it was just a dance every one added steps to and now it's a popular dance especially in the schools of NC.Added by: najacks1, the cat daddy is a dance created in California I should know because I live here and, my friends brother is Sam, if you listen in the song he says :"big ups to the bro Sam he the King of this S*it". And Sam is the true creator of the Cat daddy. We've been doing it for about the past year now and it's just starting to get big.

How popular is Melbourne shuffle?

It's popular underground, but now it's kind of getting more popular but not as popular as bboy was or jerking. But it did went mainstream because of the LMFAO with there song ''everyday I'm shuffling''but it was poorly done because most of the dancers couldn't understand how the dance was done, and was complicated.

What is the dance to party rock anthem?

They claim it's shuffling, but all they do in the video is the runningman, nothing more than that. Shuffling is a rave dance, and LMFAO is pop music, and has NOTHING to do with rave culture. Several videos on youtube prove that they did not even know what shuffling was after they released their song, and they cannot shuffle at all... So it is the runningman with a half (and badly done) Charleston, END OF STORY.

How did they got the name ''Melbourne Shuffle''?

The dance move is a shuffling movement popular in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s. It was a movement of shuffling the feet back and forth, often when wearing very large baggy jeans/pants that were also popular in the rave / dance scenes of those eras.
