Dear _____________(write your name here),
Number one... if you are going to write a letter, formal grammar is needed... and based on your question, "Correct way to write a letter?" You are not using the right grammar.
There are a lot of books to help you write letters. Some of them may even be in your school books.
Here's a tip. Think hard but try to be simple.
If you are going to write a love letter, you must know his/her personality before writing him/her whatever you feel.
If you are going to write a greeting card, be kind, compassionate, and thankful. AS much as possible, think about what this person has done to you and try to write them down, indicating the positive effects these actions have on you.
If you are going to write a business letter, start the greeting WITHOUT the word Dear and always get straight to the point when you are already in the body of the letter.
Also, read more books about writing. May it be about script writing, essay writing, story writing, or letter writing, it does not matter. As long as you understand everything you read, you WILL be able to mix all the knowledge you have comprehended and end up with the best letter you ever had.
Yours truly,
Nathan Trembore.

YOU'RE WELCOME.
P.S. Read Sundance by Mark Connely. Pen Commandments by Steve Frank. And a lot more.
To lay out a letter, start with your contact information at the top, followed by the date. Then include the recipient's contact information, a salutation, the body of the letter, a closing, and your signature. Make sure to align everything to the left, and use a clear and professional font.
There are a lot of different ways to start a letter. Here are a few examples:
