Take slow deep breaths in, then let out slowly. Think of the applause you'll get! No matter what instrument; Trumpet, piano, violin, even vocals, It's nearly impossible to not be nervous at all. For one thing, think of playing it perfectly, and not how you could mess up. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, Get a good rest in before the performance, or a really good night's sleep, trust me, it makes a HUGE difference!

think about the applause you are going to get.

Be well prepared - know the piece you are going to play inside and out. Block out the audience and play the piece just like you did during your best rehearsal. Have confidence in yourself and you will do just fine. It's nearly impossible to 'Not be Nervous' for a solo. Just think of how everyone will be complimenting you when your done! Most performers, even those who have been playing for an audience for many years, still get nervous right before a performance.
