Carrier and Cell Numbers That BC area code is the same for all cellular users. In Bc and Canada the numbers will still be different as the number is owned by the company not the person using it. Come march of next year they will be introducing what is called phone number portability in which case customers will be able to take their phone number with them to any carrier they choose.
In BC I know that the area code 778 is usually FIDO. celluar carriers are given blocks of numbers within a certain range. Is there any way to find these blocks of numbers?
Try the free website called fonefinder.
if you mean the phone is locked to a set carrier and you dont know which one it is then borrow friends sims who belong to different carriers. put them in phone until you find one that works. that then tells you the carrier
I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU FIND OUT A CARRIER FROM A PHONE NUMBER LIKE IN VA EX; NTELOS PHONES NUMBERS ARE 417 305 ETC
Well You could find out by looking for signals. But I am pretty sure that's Illegal so don't do it.
A branded cell phone is a phone sold exclusively through one carrier. The cell phone will usually have the carrier's logo/brand on it.
No. Each carrier has allowed cell phones for their carrier. If you have a GSM carrier though, you can buy an unlocked phone to use on that carrier even if the carrier doesn't support the phone. All you do is move your sim card.
Verizon

There are many cell phone review sites available. One of the best is consumersearch (http://www.consumersearch.com/cell-phones). There, you can search by features or carrier to find the right phone for you.

The best cell phone carrier depends on you. It is up to you to decide which cell phone carrier would be the best. Each person has their own picks and what works for one might not work for you.
Sprint
Yeah totally.
Yes you can. Your phone line has nothing too do with your cell phone. In fact, for most people your phone line carrier is completely different from your cell phone carrier. And you phone line has absoloute no connection TO YOU HOME PHONE AT all
No, phones are programmed for the carrier, so if it was a Verizon phone, it was programmed for Verizon. It will not work on another carrier.
