How do you trade Pokemon if it is not working on Pokemon white?

I know this sucks but you cant it is just like the gameboy you can only transfer Pokemon that you cant put back on platinum version. Also, you must beat the elite four first.

u need to use the "IR" section on your "C-Gear" it should be in red tap it and it will give you 4 options all that need to have an infrared connection(need to have other person there with you)

You can trade with people directly by going to the Pokemon Center and up the stairs. Talk to the lady all the way to the right and go to Global Trade. After go to GTS Negotiations and connect with Wi-Fi connection. Then a blue screen with two selections which says Trade With Anyone and Trade With Rendezvous will come up. Trade With Anyone will pair you up with someone that wants the same thing as you right after you choose the kind of Pokemon you want or have. Trade With Rendezvous will pair you up with someone that you already traded with that's also looking for you. I does not choose automatically though you must choose who you want to trade with yourself. You cannot connect with the person you choose if that person is not looking for you. The best way is to trade Rendezvous with someone when you can contact that person someway and tell them you want to trade with them. I usually just call my friend which is already on my Rendezvous list and tell him "Let's Trade!". There's also another selection back to the point after you choose Global Trade. It's GTS. That is the place where you can leave a Pokemon on hold and wait for someone to trade you something you want for it or you can search up a Pokemon already in your Pokedex and find people that are giving it away and trade the Pokemon that he wants for the Pokemon you want. In this kind of trade the person does not have to be there presently trading with you. There's still another way to trade that does not need Wi-Fi or internet which is called IR trade. This is when you have another person that has Pokemon Black/White and trade while you guys are next to each other or you can do it yourself if you have another Pokemon game (Must be Black to Black, White to White, or Black to White) and 2 DS systems. You go to your bottom screen and press IR. Then a few selections pop up. Battle, Trade, Feeling Check, and Friend Code. Then press trade and make a Infrared Connection with your partner. There's one last way to trade which is not Black to White, White to White, or Black to Black. It's from Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heartgold, or Soulsilver to Black/White. You will need another person that has a Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heartgold, or Soulsilver game or another DS system. In Route 15 there is a Big Building that has a vending machine next to it. It's called The Pokemon Transfer Lab. After You have all 8 badges in Unova, go inside the lab and a Crazy Scientist will talk to you. After the talking insert a Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heartgold, or Soulsilver game in the other DS System. then go to DS download on the DS that does not have Black/White in it. Go to the machine that is at the back of the building and do what it says. Sorry for the long answer but That's the ways to trade. Fairwell!
