tune ups can me many different things. Etc. is it running ok? If so change the oil and spark plug and u are ok. If u have a certain problem e-mail me and I'll help!
Don't forget to replace or clean the air filter. If it is the sponge-type, it can be washed in warm soapy water, then rinsed with clean water ... then squeeze-dry and let dry completely before re-installing it.

All the small Briggs engines seem to have a points gap of 0.02 inches
any where from 120 lbs to 180 lbs
The easiest way is to use a standard business card between the coil and the magnet part of the flywheel.
A Champion CJ8Y or J19LM will perform fine
The spark plug should be gaped at .030"(76mm)
It may be one of two things. Either it isn't getting enough gas, or to much
around 200 cc's on a briggs&straton. or tecumse 5hp utility motor aka "the good ol gocart motor" but specific size and displacment is often casted into the cylinder wall on the side of the motor in qwestion, on bouth forigen and domestic engins :)
