Home Depot sells RF switches whereby if the fan is connected to the transmitter. It can be controlled by as far as 5 meters i believe In my SPA i have this device for safety. switch here get turn on there

∙ 14y agoThe wires going to a GFCI outlet are no different than a standard outlet. I assume you are wiring the fan switch to the same wires and not actually to the outlet itself (this would mean you are plugging the switch into the outlet and that wouldn't make any sense).

Mount both switches in a double pole switch box. If the light above the sink has an outlet on it then you will have to connect power going to that light on the load side of the GFCI outlet. If not then just connect it to the line side.
Why would an in line fan work on a GFCI outlet then trip the outlet and Nothing changed?
gfi is going bad or you are leaking 3 mA or more current to ground

The fan is probably a 115 VAC single phase fan and the outlet is probably a 230 VAC "two phase" outlet. The fan would then have the following wires: hot (black), neutral (white), and ground (green). The outlet would then have the following wires: hot #1 (black), hot #2 (red), neutral (white), and ground (green). Pick either of the two hot wires on the outlet and connect the hot wire of the fan to that (ignore the other hot wire on the outlet) and connect the neutral to neutral and ground to ground. If the wire colors are not as I described above you may have something else (e.g. 3-phase) and that would be wired differently, but those systems are usually used only in industrial settings not the home.

Open up the ceiling box and disconnect the blue wire coming from the light and connect it to the black wire coming from the fan. Be sure and put a wire nut on the wire where the light was connected before you removed it. The wall switch is controlling power to the wire where the fan is connected so when you connect the blue fan wire to that connection you will be sending power to both the fan and light from the wall switch.
Can you straight wire your cooling fan to a light relay?
Just wire it to a toggle switch. When you need it, just flip the switch.

Your question sounds simple but it isn't. There are two ways of wiring a light to a switch. One is to bring the hot and neutral wire to the switch box and from there run wires from the switch to the light. If this is the case you can install a GFCI on the circuit. The other way is to bring the hot and neutral wire to the light and from there run two wires to the switch and switch the light that way. In this case you cannot install a GFCI to in the switch box. <<>> The way you want the circuit to work has to be laid out as follows. Method one, the circuit that now controls the bathroom devices can be changed to a GFCI breaker. This is probably the quickest and cheapest, unless the job is new construction. Method two, if new construction use this method, as tearing walls open to get to the wiring will become costly. Where a supply circuit comes from the service distribution panel the first device on that circuit has to be a GFCI receptacle. This device has secondary terminals on it, that if connected every device downstream from it will also be protected. So if you supply the two way light switch that controls the vent fan and a bathroom light from the secondary terminals from the GFCI receptacle they will be protected.

One can easily be installed. Locate the wire that runs to the water temp sensor. Splice this wire to a switch and then off to a ground. When you flip the switch it will ground the wire and make the fan come on. Do not get confused with the oil temp sensor. It controls the HOT oil light, not the fan.

I assume you are wanting to manually control the fan. Just run a positive wire from the battery to the toggle switch line side. Then run another wire from the toggle switch load side to the fan. Ground the fan at the fan location. Be sure and use a large enough gage wire to handle the current and an in line fuse to protect the circuit.

to shut the fans on and off by yourself. remove the connector for the wires at the fan. hook a wire from the positive on fan motor to the inside toggle switch, do not hook to switch yet. run a wire from the positive on battery, hook to battery after hooking up switch. hook up the wires to the switch. then the battery. its up to you if you want to install a 15 amp fuse in line from battery to toggle switch.. you can also get the power from the fuse box instead of the battery. this should work for you. if not you may need to ground the other fan wire.
