--Yeah but you better freaking be careful about following fire truck! One was going the same i was on the way home today and the guy got out and like yelled at me and asked for my license and then disagreed about the route i normally take home claiming i lived somewhere else. So don't ever follow one unless you live towards where its going because apparently you can't do that.

∙ 9y agoThe distance depends on the laws in your jurisdiction. In Massachusetts for example, you must follow no closer than 300 behind from an emergency vehicle responding to an alarm. In New York the distance is 200 feet. In some states that distance is as much as 500 feet. You need to check the law in your state.
