In respect of World War 2
In the sense that Germany was excluded from trading with markets in the British colonies and with French colonies, one of Hitler's objectives was to reorganise Europe into a single market with a common currency and reduced sovereignty for smaller less powerful states. He called this the New World Order. Italy and the United States supported Hitler's objectives during 1940 and 1941. USA sent envoy Sumner Welles to England France Germany and Italy during 1940 to try and broker a peace founded on this New World Order.
Ironically Hitler's dream of this New World Order came into effect with the European Union conceived in 1974 with the European Common Market. One could say the European Union is a Nazi legacy. The nazis wanted a world in which capital and intellectual property rights could trade freely around the globe with full legal protection.
However French efforts to begin an Atomic bomb project in 1939 and French efforts to secure heavy water from Norway for their atomic bomb distressed Germany into creation of it's own nuclear weapons project.
Further efforts by Britain and France to militarily equip Finland in it's war with Finland via a railway line from Narvik (Norway) threatened German access to iron ore supplies, thus hitler decided to invade Norway, which capsized US efforts to broker a peace between european powers.
During 1943 at the Allied leaders conference in Tehran, Stalin and Rooselvelt agreed that USA and Russia would work together after the war to dismantle European colonialism.
