You will need to know the bolt pattern that fits the car, the size of rims you want, the recommended backspacing for the rims, and what size tires you want.

One strong recommendation is to find a new tire&wheel setup that has the same overall height as you current setup. This will keep the speedometer & odometer accurate so you don't have to have that adjusted to still know correctly how fast & far you are driving.

Well there are different types of hubcaps for the hhr. Some of them you just pry off but then there also are some hubcaps which have black caps that go over the lugnuts and to take those off all you have to do is take a 19mm socket and lightly twist them off just be careful because they are fragile but after you have them all loose the hubcap will pull off
