Babies are not ever in the mothers stomach they grow in the mothers uterus, in a placenta.>>>
I am improving the previous answer. Babies do NOT "grow in a placenta". The placenta is what the OTHER end of the umbilical cord is attached to (inside the mother, in the uterus)...this is the way it gets nourishment from the mother. Babies develop in the uterus after the mother's egg is fertilized by the father's sperm via sexual intercourse, or artificial insemination (a procedure performed by a doctor when a couple are having a hard time conceiving, 'getting pregnant', a baby.) The placenta is delivered within a few minutes of the baby.
Breathing While in the womb, a foetus's oxygen needs are met by the mother. Blood is pumped by the baby's heart through the umbilical cord arteries to the placenta where oxygen is extracted from the mother's blood as it passes by the placenta. The maternal and foetal blood systems are separate. It is only oxygen that passes from maternal blood vessels to placental blood vessels by a process called diffusion. The umbilical cord vein delivers oxygenated blood to the foetus's heart, where it is then pumped to the rest of the body. Lung development In the womb, the foetus's lungs are filled with fluid. They are not used for breathing, but are developing and getting ready for baby's first breath after birth. Compared to other organs such as the heart and kidneys, which are already functional in the womb, the lungs will not start working until after birth and are slower to develop to maturity. By the 24th week of pregnancy or so, most of the basic parts of the lung have developed, but it is not until about the 35th week that the lung could be considered mature and ready to function on its own. Hope this helps to answer your question? .
You baby isn't eating the food that you eat. He or she is taking in the nutrients of the food that you eat, which is why you are supposed to eat healthier when pregnant. Your baby may survive but will most likely be very unhealthy, do not plan on trying to keep weight off by not eating, your baby will definitely not survive, it's very normal to gain ALOT of weight while pregnant. Also if you are constantly getting sick throughout your pregnancy, it is still okay because the food you have consumed goes down long enough for the nutrients to go through your system to you baby.
Nutrients are transferred from the mother's blood to the blood of the foetus through the umbilicus (what will become your belly button or navel)
Females have eggs and males have sperms. When the sperms swim and matts the egg it defuses and that cell divides to form an un borne baby
the baby gets its food by catching mother's nutrients
No. They do not.
whenever you can even die if your in your moms stomach. most babies survive that stage but a lot can die as well.

No. Calves come from the womb, or uterus of their mommas. The stomach is where food goes to be digested, not where babies are grown.
