If you're applying for an Apt. in Section A Housing or smaller, not so nice residential areas you probably won't have a problem but anywhere else you will not be eligible for at least 7 years, or if they do consider leasing to you you either 1.) Must have est. 2 or more years good credit history since the BK or 2.) Be willing to pay 2/3 of the entire value of the least upfront. Good luck.

You can actually rent an apartment immediately after discharge if the landlord accepts your application of course you would need to explain why you filed bankruptcy and contact your last rental place for a good rental history will help. As long as you have a job you should have no problem renting, cause if you dont pay they can evict you anyway.

If you default on a student loan does that stay on your record after you file for a Bankruptcy?

Any debt listed (or should have been listed) in your bankruptcy can be reported as discharged for the ten years the bankruptcy can be reported. Since a student loan cannot be discharged without proving a hardship (the difficulty of which varies from state to state and even court to court), the default can probably be reported as long as it remains unpaid.

If you filed bankruptcy and it was final and a reaffirmation agreement was signed but discharged by the courts you have always been current on your car payment can you keep the car and continue paying?

Long as you put it in your reaffirmation so that it will not be part of your bankruptcy you will be able to keep it. Same thing as with a house. Just as long as it was part of the agreement that it was not included in your bankruptcy then you are o.k.
