This is really up for the vet to decide. It's going to be dependent on the cause and severity of the laminitis. If the horse foundered thanks to eating too much green grass and it was only a mild case, once he's comfortable again, he may be able to go out; provided he's got a muzzle on to prevent grazing. However, this isn't something you can really find an answer for over the internet; your vet and farrier will be the ones to give you information about this.

Once it no longer is lame, you should be able to ride again. I would suggest not jumping for a bit longer. If the horse is older you may wish to allow it to rest for an additional week.

Personally, I am not a fan of jumping anyway, but if you feel you must, watch for lameness regularly. If this becomes a chronic issue, you may wish to stop jumping.

It depends totally on what has happened to your horse, a bruised frog can come sound in a matter of days but something like a tendon may need up to nine months resting. as said above it may be best to avoid things like jumping, riding on very soft surfaces (deep sand - not like in a sand-school, like at the beach- can cause strain to the horses legs as they find it hard to work on) and lots of fast work. However i would not say that jumping (providing you do it safely and your not stupid about it) particularly causes the horse anymmore strain than anything else. After the horse has come sound check for swelling, major skin wounds etc. that may be remaining. Do not ride until any swelling has gone.

IF YOUR UNSURE SPEAK TO A VET.
