∙ 15y agoI can only give you an approximate number. CDC reports 853,000 children deaths, but this is not exclusively Africa. Africa may account for 80 to 90% of the deaths, so approximately 700,000 children deaths. This seems consistent with the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation estimate of 2000 deaths per day. It is not clear to me if malaria is on the rise or decline in Africa. As so often the case, one question raises another one. See related links.
