Multiply all the numbers to get the volume of the pool in cubic feet. Then divide by 7.5. That assumes the water is filled to a height of four feet. Some above-ground pools have 52" walls, which allow for a water height of 48", which is four feet. The dimensions stated above in the reworded question are for an oval pool, not a round one. I suspect the original question was for a round pool with an 18' diameter and a 4.5' wall. (The slash in 4 1/2 did not show up in the question.) If that is the case, then the answer is 3.14 times 81 times 4.5 divided by 7.5.

18ft = Circumference = 2*pi*radius -> radius = circumference/(2*pi) = 18/(2*3.14...) = 2.865

Volume of a cylinder = depth*pi*radius2 = 4ft*3.14...*2.8652 = 103.13 ft3

Google says that 1 cubic foot = 7.48051948 US gallons

103.13ft3*(7.4805gallons/ft3) = 771.46 gallons

The volume of the pool is 771.46 gallons.

You need three measurements to calculate the volume. Length x Breadth x Average depth. If you measure in feet, multiply the answer x 6.25 (6 1/4 gallons to a cubic foot) Then you know how many cubic feet there.

Cannot be answered with only these measurements. For a rectangular pool, the length, width and depth are needed. For a round pool, the diameter and depth are needed.

Assuming that the average depth of the pool is 5 feet the width is 4 feet and the length is 18 feet, The pool would have approx. 3,000 gallons of water.
