Well depending on what the drug is, 1. If its ingested orally, then you will probably get the full 100% in your system within an hour 2. If you are injecting into your bloodstream, within minutes. 3. If smoked it will be about half an hour to 2 hours depending on metabolism.

2-hour postprandial specimen
Most vets will just take a sample while in the office by just scraping your dog's bum, but if your vet wants an entire sample, I would just collect it in a plastic bag and bring it in. I would recommend you bring it in within an hour or so to ensure it is fresh enough for testing.
An officer of the court gives you one hour to report for testing. You do so, take the test, and if you come up positive they put you in jail. It's pretty simple, actually.
Men should not urinate one hour before collection of a urethral specimen.
For me I use detox drinks that you order on the internet, cleans your system in an hour taste like crap, but does the job, or claim your pee shy and fake it with warmed up tea, hasn't failed me yet

Alcohol is eliminated from the body at the rate of approximately 1/3 ounce (of pure alcohol) per hour...about two normal drinks every three hours. A normal drink is a 12-ounce beer or glass of wine or a regular shot. Some drug testing procedures will detect alcohol use up to 8 days, however, so if you're on probation and subject to random testing -- good luck.
