because they love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives with only each other
Because, without money to motivate society there would be no other incentive than to live and fend for each other. Family, friends and society as a whole providing for the needs of all and each other without profit or personal gain above any other. CRAZY!?!?!
There's no knowing exactly. Any answer would be an estimate. You'd have to figure out all of the things kept off the market because they were found dangerous during testing, and then estimate how many people would have used them, and how many of those people would have died from their use. A lot of guesswork at each point.

Surf life savers have saved hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. The exact number varies each year, but they have made a significant impact in preventing drowning and rescuing swimmers in distress.
The number of people who get saved in a year is difficult to quantify as it can vary greatly depending on individual beliefs, cultures, and regions. Generally, religious organizations might track the number of conversions or baptisms, but an exact global figure is not available.
