In Malta, there are many tourist attractions, but one of the main tourist attractions are the Temples. There are a lot of temples in Malta, such as, Ġgantija, Tarxien Temples, Ħaġar Qim, etc.. They are older than the Egyptian Temples. Ġgantija is the world's oldest free-standing temple in the world.
There are a large number of Neolithic temples on Malta and Gozo including the Hypogeum of Hal-Saflieni, the only prehistoric underground temple in the world. There are more beautiful churches than you could ever want to see, several historic cities and many exquisite beaches. Gozo is a beautiful island and should not be missed if you want a while to relax.
The Megalithic European has 496 pages.
There are 46 churches in Gozo, some dating back to the 15th Century.
[Although the answer before was true, I decided it was slightly... degrading, perhaps? Sorry to whoever wrote it] No, Malta is not in Greece. It was inhabited by the Greek once, when it was blessed 'Melite', meaning 'Honey Sweet'. Malta is located just south of Italy, Sicily to be exact. It is a small island, part of a group called 'The Maltese Islands' by many. These islands include Gozo, Malta and Comino.
Every year, many tourists go to Malta. The big reason why tourists go to Malta, is because of the beautiful beaches, hot sun, etc.. These are some things that other tourists don't experience in their country, do they go to Malta. I don't know the exact number of tourists that go to Malta each year, but I can tell you it's a lot. This is because Malta is in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, so it has one of the best climates of the world. It is mostly renowned for the touristic attractions, such as, the Temples, that are older than the Egyptian Pyramids. So, for tourists who need a vacation, I recommend going to Malta, for an experience of a lifetime. Enjoy Malta!!
