∙ 11y agoThere are 193 members of the United Nations. Unfortunately, this number is sometimes mistaken for the number of sovereign nations in the world. However, this is not true. Some recognized countries are not members of the UN: Vatican City and Kosovo. Both are independent, however, both are not members of the UN.
