How many miles should the average person walk in a day?
You should walk 10 thousand steps or approximately 5 miles per day. Can be done over the course of the entire day. Purchase a pedometer and wear it all day.

Depending on the route (all routes are different obviously) and how hard the regular carrier works; the route could consist of 8 miles or it could consist of close to 15. I ge…nerally walk close to 15 miles a day. That is unless they have something else for me then it could get up to 18 miles.

When I think fit in this situation I think in shape cardiovascularly. While walking 10,000 steps a day may SLOWLY lower your weight you will not become fit (in shape).
if you are just starting around 1.5 to 2 but you should really be walking at least 2 with healthy eating
