In a recent investigation of 124 daisies (British uncultivated garden daisies - Bella perennis) by the students of St Richard's School, Herefordshire, the average was 42, with a standard deviation of 6, so most daisies have between 30 and 54 petals.

Daisies and I believe all plants have petals, berry buds, or leaf clusters within the Fibonacci sequence of 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144,233,377... The only variances are mutations due to environmental (3D) conditions or from 4D/5D evolutionary factors.

Elsewhere posted on the net regarding this I found: "Among common varieties, black-eyed Susans have 13 petals, shasta daisies have 21 and field daisies have 34." all a part of the sequence.

Domestic roses have additional petals that were bred from the stamens.

There are a over a hundred species of roses in the genus Rosa.

You can find exceptions to many of the general characteristics described.

Exact numbers of petals, stamen and pistils, depends on the specie.

(There are, in addition, an unknown number of cultivars.)

It depends on the rose. They all have differant numbers of petals, ranging from 10 to 20. Some kinds of roses have more petals, and others have less.
