How many pictures can an 8.1 megapixel digital camera take?
Answer I would say a Fuji Camera 7 Megapixels. Any higher than that there is no visual benefit apart from having a larger picture.
It is recommended with a camera that is this sharp you have a minimum of a 1 gigabyte memory card. On this card you can fit approximately 56 pictures depending on the ligh…ting and subject involved.
About 250, since it depends on the camera settings as well.
depends on the camera. If It's a digital camera or if it's a professional comera
well....you press a certain button which is place fixed on the top of the camera and then you press that button and magically takes a picture for you
This is dependant on the resolution setting, the higher the setting the lower the number of photos that will fit on the card.
At least 6400, in all likelihood. Megapixel (MP) count refers to the maximum resolution of the camera's sensor -- its ability to record detail. The number of images tha…t can be recorded on a card of a given size is only indirectly related to the capacity of the card, which is measured in Kilobytes (KB) or Megabytes (MB), not MP. That will vary according to the image itself, and to the camera's settings. For example: My Pentax K10D, with a 10.1 MP sensor and using a 4 GB card, will record approximately 821 images at the highest resolution (10 MP) and a "Fine" resolution setting. The same camera, with the same sensor and same card, will record 10,000-plus images at the lowest resolution (2 MP) and the "Low" resolution setting. Practically all cameras have this ability to change the resolution settings, and thus the sizes of the image files that are stored on the card. So, you can see that it is only possible to answer your question in very general terms: The higher the capacity of the card, the more images you can store at whatever camera settings. And, as you can see above, even at the highest settings with a high MP count, you can take a lot of pictures! One thing to think about: storage cards can and do fail. It is better to have two 1 GB cards than one 2 GB card, unless you plan to shoot a whole lot of video. That way if one fails, you can keep shooting and worry about retrieving the images off the other card later.

It will vary according to the amount of detail in the image itself, and the camera's settings. You could probably expect roughly 1000 images at full resolution and minimum compression (often called "quality" in the camera software) on a 4 GB card. We are basing this on the performance of a Pentax K10D at 10.1 MP, which will record about 800 images at maximum quality. Be sure that your camera will accept a 4 GB card. Some older cameras will not read them. One other thing to think about: storage cards can -- and do -- fail. How many pictures on 4GB memory card in 7.1 megapixel digital camera?
how many pictures will a 1 GB memory stick in a 8.1 megapixel camera hold?
These days, 3 megpixels isn't very much, but it's still decent. Try going to amazon.com, ebay, or J&R and typing it in to find a camera with that. Hope this helps.
There is no way to tell because you have not given any details about the camera. 8.1MP has nothing to do with how many pictures the camera can save, it all depends on the me…mory type and how much memory you have for the camera. It also depends on how you store - high or low res JPEGs, or RAW etc. The storage is in the memory device, SD card, CF card, Memory Stick etc, so its capacity, typically 1 or 2 gigabytes or more, has to be counted. In a 1 gigabyte card you could store from less than 100 to several thousand pics.
i have an 8.1 and it taks really good pictures but they say the higher the mega pixles the better the picture... Hey! this is pickley kit kat and i just wanted to say that i g…ot this awesome camera for xmas this year. it is more of a video camera but takes really good pics 2 and it is 10 mega pixles....i did have an all pic camera before and it was only 3 pixles and i have to say it sucked....
Hasselblad has the highest megapixel camera on the market. With a megapixel of 39, it is at the top of it's class!
The number of megapixels in the average camera depend on the model and the resolution. There are cameras that have 900 megapixels and some have 3,000 megapixels.
The Cannon Powershot S3 digital camera has 6 megapixels to take pictures with. However, what this camera lacks in megapixels, it makes up in its various features including 12X… zoom.
Basically limitless (36,400 images). 2 megapixles won't get you far though.
