One example is from "The Beverly Hillbillies: The Clampetts Strike Oil (#1.1)" (1962)Daisy Moses: Well, the first thing to do is get her into a dress. She's gettin' too old to be wearin' a man's duds. Lookee here - she done popped the buttons off her shirt again.Jed Clampett: Well, Elly May carries herself proud... with her shoulders thrown back.Daisy Moses: It ain't her shoulders that's poppin' these buttons.

There are two Possum Day possibilities. The first Possum Day was 10/13/1965. This was the date The Beverly Hillbillies episode named Possum Day first aired. Mr. Drysdale told the Clampetts there was a holiday named Possum Day and Granny ran for the title of Miss Possum Day!The second Possum Day is the first Saturday of August and is held in Wausau, Florida and it is when the The Annual Possum Festival & Funday is held. You can celebrate this holiday with your kids. Teach them all about the holiday and the town in Florida where it's held. Little holidays like this are lots of fun as a party theme!Actually the Beverly Hillbillies episode 'Possum Day', first aired on 13 October 1965 was not the first Beverly Hillbillies episode to deal with Possum Day, but rather a re-visiting of the idea. The original Possum Day episode was 'Hair-Raising Holiday' from the second seaon, first aired 2 October 1963. This would suggest that the Beverly Hillbillies Possum Day was a holiday somewhere around early to mid October.
