No way to answer, since we do not know exactly how many gun owners (male and femal) there are. FWIW, both of my daughters, one granddaughter, and my stepmother own guns.

Answer . According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, there were about 215 million privately owned guns in 1999. The NRA estimates that half of all American households (total US population is 294 million) have at least one gun owner. Numbers vary, but estimates are 70-8…0 million gun owners with 200-250 million guns. There is no way to give a definitive answer. There are millions of guns in the U.S. Some estimates say 80 million households have guns, but since there is no national registration, there is no real way to know. (MORE)
According to the FBI, between 1.6 to 3% According to Dr. Gary Kleck, criminologist at Florida StateUniversity in Tallahassee and author of "Point Blank: Guns andViolence in America," a book used by many in the gun debate,800,000-2,500,000 crimes are stopped by guns each year. The numbersare from di…fferent studies. Interesting Statistics: There were over 19,000 deaths by accidental drug overdose in 2004.The majority of these deaths were from prescription drugs, notillegal drugs. Banning prescription drugs makes as much sense asbanning guns. Regarding accidental shooting deaths per year, that number is inthe 14,000-17,000 range. Over 100,000,000 guns are owned inAmerica. Number of guns and gun owners in USA. Most estimates range between 39% and 50% of US households having at least one gun (that's about 43-55 million households). The estimates for the number of privately owned guns range from 190 million to 300 million. Removed those that skew the stats for their o…wn purposes the best estimates are about 45% or 52 million of American households owning 260 million guns). Some recent estimates: . A 2011 Gallup poll estimates that 47 percent of US households own a gun. . A 2007 Small Arms Survey estimates there are 88.7 guns per 100 Americans (#1 in the world for guns per capita) . A 2010 estimate from the NRA states "Privately owned firearms in the U.S.: Approaching 300 million, including nearly 100 million handguns. The number of firearms rises over 4 million annually." At the last NGC ( National Gun Census) in April 2007, it was recorded that, on average, there is about 178,000,000 lisenced firearms in the USA, although it is believed there is a further 50% that are unlisenced.. No license is required to own a gun in most states, so it would be interesting to kno…w exactly how they define "licensed guns." (MORE)
The highest estimate of private firearms in Texas is a little over 2 times the then state population of 17 million.
As a general rule, you can't. Depending on who you are, where you are, your reason for wanting to know and if a database exists, you may or may not be able to.
In the U.S. it's hard to say because there's no required registration in most states, so there's no real record of how many women buy guns, and a spouse can buy a gun as a gift for the other spouse, so some guns purchased by men may be for women. As a shooting instructor, about 55-60 percent of our …students are female, but that, in and of itself, isn't a really good indicator because lots of people that own guns don't apply to get a permit. hundreds every day!!!. Sigh. More BS hype. According to the FBI, in 2005, there were about 16,700 murders in the U.S. This includes murders by all types of weapons. 16,692 divided by 365 days is only a little over 45 each day, and that includes all types of weapons. In 2006, the number of murders i…n the U.S. was just over 17,000. In 2007, it was a little under 17,000. That is NOWHERE NEAR "hundreds every day," and that includes murders from all types of weapons. People should post facts that can be verfied, not crap that they hear. besides i like cheeeeeze (MORE)
There are over 75 million homeowners in the United States. This isdone from previous years as many homeowners have been foreclosedon.
This question continues to come up, with great regularity. In most U.S. states, there is no registration, regardless of what anybody tells you. "Register you gun" is something people say because they have heard it on TV. There are 3 or 4 states that require registration, but the other 46 or 47 state…s do not, and there is no federal registration. So, in the vast majority of the U.S. there is no such thing as registration. (MORE)
Between half and three fourths of people in the US. It is different in other countries.
Gun owners aren't "registered" like cars. One estimate is that there are @ 4 million or so gun owners.
In 1982, Kennesaw, a small town in Georgia passed a town ordinance that required each head of household to own and maintain a gun, with some exceptions. They were reacting to a gun ban that had recently been passed in Morton Grove, Illinois and they succeeded in stealing the spotlight. It's an inter…esting story. You can read all about it at the link below. I know of no state where it is mandatory to own a gun. (MORE)
Most recent census indicates that more than 2 million people in the U.S. are horse owners. There are about 9.2 million horses owned.
Unless stolen before making it to a retailer, they all are when bought. --- Firearms are not registered when sold by retailers (FFL dealers) unless they are required to be registered in a particular state. And the registration is usually done by the local police department in those states. F…FL dealers record the buyer's information from form 4473 in their "bound book" and then they are obligated to keep these records for as long as they remain in business and keep their federal firearms license renewed. Gues it all depends on what the OP meant by "registered" (MORE)
1. There are currently 140,000 registered firearms sellers in theUnited States (source: Arming America, Origins of a National GunCulture) The statistic information above should be explained further.According ATF publication "Firearms Commerce in the United States:Annual Statistical Update 2014", the…re were a total of 139,244Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) in fiscal year 2013. This numberhas been steadily climbing since 1996. However, the number oflicensees peaked in 1992 with 284,117. Furthermore, the term "seller" is not accurate. The number citedincludes licensees who are not considered "sellers" of firearms;collectors of firearms and manufacturers of ammunition. The statewith the largest number of FFLs is Texas, with about 10,500 FFLs asof fiscal year 2013. (MORE)

Homeownership rates in the US vary based on area and other demographics. The wiki article below explains more. Currently, nearly 70% occupied homes are occupied by the owners. According to the Danter Company, there are approximately 130 million homeowners (2009 census stats).
None. When made, 99.9% are legal, no matter where made. Just because it's against the law for YOU to own it doesn't make the weapon illegal. Technically the above is correct however as guns are not required to be registered in all states it is impossible to say how many are owned legally. Guns th…at are owned illegally are obviously not registered so there is no way to know how many there are. (MORE)
It is impossible to tell exactly. There have never been any surveys to obtain this information. However, relative to the number of women who carry guns this number is probably small. Carrying a gun in a purse offers some distinct disadvantages in comparison to carrying a gun in a holster on a per…son's body. A gun in a purse is harder to get to when it is needed and easier to lose control of. Also, the choice of holsters is much wider than the choice of appropriate purses. (MORE)
about 22.5 percent of the population in the State of California own guns. Second highest in the U.S.
In both world wars there were women who had to use guns in self protection or as secret agents of the OSS (forerunner of the CIA) or as agents of the Underground Resistance Networks. Unfortunately, some used them in revenge. There were no infantry women with guns.
Best source for this would the National Rifle Association. They keep these statistics to help with their legislative efforts. They do have a web site where you may find these figures on your own or you can write them with your question. They will be happy to help you.
No exact answer, as there is no exact record- a good estimate is about 120 million privately owned handguns in the US.
1n 1994 @ 246K people had FFL's. Thanks to former President, Bill Clinton and the Congress of that era there are now less than 50k people with FFL's. Not all of those ran a "store".
In MOST of the US, there is no requirement to license or register guns. If they are not registered, there is no way to know how many there are. in 2004, it was estimated that private citizens in the US owned 192 million firearms- the number is higher now.
Not really possible to answer, since the question assumes registration of firearms. In MOST of the United States, there is no requirement for registration of firearms (No matter what they show on TV). The exception are weapons such as machine guns, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, etc…. These have been required to be registered with the Federal BATFE since 1934. For machine guns, there has been ONE murder committed with a registered firearm since 1934. That case involved a police officer that was convicted of murdering his wife. (MORE)
nobody actually knows because people by them illegally or from a different countries Kmart use to sell bullets but there was a trade thing where if you gave your gun in you would get money so the numbers have decreased a lot.
Many homes have guns, though mostly in rural areas. There are also a number of people who posess guns illegaly as well as those who have a legal contract to own one. Added: (in the US) Gun ownership is a Constitutionally protected right, and since no law requires gun owners to register their fir…earms the answer to this question is impossible to determine. There is no way to know this statistic. (MORE)
More people are killed by firearms in the USA than by motor vehicle accidents (40,000)
Since smuggled means brought into a country illegally and without knowledge, how do you think that number would be known?
No information, and it will depend on where you are. In MOST of the US, there is no licensing of gun owners, thus no records of number of men OR women..
Since, like most states, Utah does not require registration of guns or gun owners, there is no one source of reliable information on the number of gun owners in Utah. However, some studies indicate that nearly half of the households in Utah own at least one firearm.
There is no way to give a simple answer. Until 1968, you could purchase firearms by mail from a catalog, so there was no way to enumerate those persons. An ESTMATE from the BATFE is that about 1/4 of the adults in the US own at least 1 gun. That would be ABOUT 60 million gun owners TODAY- but some e…stimates are higher within the past 2-3 years. (MORE)
Any number put here will not remain accurate, as anyone can register a gun in Oregon at any time.
No records, since in most of the US, guns and gun owners are not registered. A very rough estimate in in the millions of women.
America does not certify, register or license people to own guns in most areas. Therefore, there is no way of answering. It is estimated that a bit more than 1/3 of all households in the US have at least 1 gun.
There is a generally accepted number of about 89 guns per 100 people in the US. However, that does not truly reflect the ownership rate, since many gun owners have more than one gun. A more accurate rate would be an ESTIMATE of about 25-30 persons out of 100 own 1 or more firearms. It is an estimate…, since in most of the US there is no requirement to register firearms with a government agency. (MORE)
We do not know an exact number, since there is no licensing of gun owners on a national basis. It is estimated that roughly 1/3rd of all households in the US own at least 1 firearm. The percentage will very sharply by location. New York City- very rare. Rural Tennessee, very common.
There are no exact records, since you do not need a permit to own in gun in most places. It is ESTIMATED that between 1/3 and 1/2 of all households in the US own at least one gun.
No records. Most of the US does not require gun registration, so there is no central record.
There are a number of sites where used price tag guns can be purchased. One of the best places to search for such an item is on eBay, as there is a lot of these types of items listed.
You dont have to regester with anyone to be a gun owner in America is not a police state Illinois gun owners 1.2 million
You could try asking them. I'm trying (and failing) to come up with any scenario in which it'sany of your business whether someone who is legally allowed to owna gun does in fact own a gun or not. If they feel like telling you, then fine; if they don't, then that's fine too no matter howcurious you …may be. (MORE)

Sorry- impossible for us to answer your question. The term "licenced owner" indicates that there is a law in your area that regulates possession of firearms. Without knowing what nation or state you are from, we do not know what set of laws you cover you. Here there is no such thing as a licenced (o…r licensed here in the US) gun owner. That would be a question better researched with whatever authority issues such a licence where you live. We get questions here from all 50 US states, and multiple other nations. (MORE)
No exact record, since there is no requirement to register guns in MOST of the US. One estimate is 312 million owned by ordinary people. There are an estimated 200 million legal guns in the United States.
Impossible to give an exact answer, since no laws require registration of gun owners. It is ESTIMATED that between 30% and 40% of adult Americans have at least one firearm in their home.
