It depends on what small is. A baby elephant is around 250 pounds heavy when it is born and stands at around 2.5 feet tall. Elephants grow very fast and by the time they are 5 years old they weigh over a 1000 kilograms or even more. Extremely large adult bull (male) elephants are known to weigh over 6000 kilograms.
