there is no freon in a 2003 exterra, freon was outlawed in 1986. the refrigerant in any newer vehicle is r134a which can be purchased at any local auto parts store. if you are concerned as to wether or not your a/c system is properly charged or not you can also purchase a charging kit that comes with a quick connect adapter. the adapter has a color coded chart on the face of the gauge that tells you if your refrigerant is at the proper level and the package has simple instructions. hope this helps.

If your 2003 Nissan Exterra will not turn over and is not getting fire, you may need to replace the batteries or the spark plugs. You might also have a wiring issue or an issue with the fuel injectors.
