Okay, I've cooked for large crowds. Here's the trick. It applies across the board &, since I havent cooked meat for large crowds, you are gonna have to supply the first answer. I will supply the equation that gets you to yr answer.
1/ How much meat do you need for one hamburger? I actually really don't this answer. I suppose that you do, but if you don't, there are plenty of cooking websites that will tell you. here are two that might be helpful:
www.hamburger-recipes.com/
&
www.thebesthamburgerrecipes.com/
2/ Once you decide on yr recipe, it isn't that difficult to extrapolate from a recipe for six people to one for sixty. Pretty much you just multiply by ten [if yr recipe's for six] or by sixty [if yr recipe's for one]. Lemme tell you, tho, unless you wanna cook the same thing ten times over, you need bigpots.
3/ The only other concerns you might consider is whether you want to have extra for extra helpings &3b/ whether all sixty people are gonna wanna eat the Hamburgers. If you know in advance that there will be lots of people who, for one reason or another, are passing on meat, you can make less. If there are gonna be a lot of kids under the age of, say, eleven, you also might make less.
As in most cases, my guess is that in yrs if you take how much meat you need for one hamburger & then just multiply by sixty you will hit an appropriate amount for yr burger crowd. I'm not trying to be flippant, by the way. I am thinking that nobody really wants a whole lot of meat to sit around & have to be thrown away. Normally I would tell you to make a little less than you seem to need. Because of the way the economy has been, I wont do that now. I have seen with my own eyes that people are a lot hungrier than they were when jobs were plentiful. I have fed them with money I barely have & so I am also thinking that yr giant hamburger meal may very well be very very well appreciated.
Sixty times more than it takes to make one, or thirty times more than it takes to make two, or even twenty times more than it takes to make three. Alternatively, it would take twice as much as thirty. An easier way to calculate it would be to just have a couple of extra jars on hand, and see what happens.
I would allow 4-6 ounce of beef for each sandwich. This is considered a generous amount of bee and depends on your budget. Now 60 Sandwiches x 5 ounces = 300 ounces when divided by 16 = 18.75 pounds. Remember you can use less meat which again depends on your budget.
I hope this helps
Sliced roast beef can cook in a crock pot for about 90 minutes. The sizes of the slices and how much roast beef is being cooked can alter the timing.

If you figure roughly 2 sandwiches per person... And each sandwich is 1/4 the size of a regular sandwich... That works out to 25 whole sandwiches cut into quarters. So the real question becomes how much roast beef do you need to make 25 sandwiches? I figure 1/10 of a pound of roast beef per sandwich should be adequate. So that means you'll need about 2.5 pounds. A full sandwich before cutting would be 4/10 of a pound of roast beef which is almost a half pound, so I think 1/10 of a pound would work nicely. And to be on the safe side, I'd make 60-65 mini sandwiches just to be sure.
Sliced roast beef can be kept frozen for one to two months if frozen properly. The way to freeze sliced roast beef properly is to wrap it tightly in aluminum foil or seal it in an air tight container.
The sauce is great on roast beef sandwiches and gifilte fish.
Well lets work it out: If you were feeding a person a steak, it would be an 8-10 oz streak you would give them but with roast beef you would cut this thinner and give them more vegetables. Thus lets say you allow 4 oz per person (1/4 of a pound), then you would need 75/4 or 18.75 pounds of sliced beef. Thus to be sure you have enough you need to order between 20 and 25 pounds of sliced beef. But be sure you ask for it to be sliced thinly!!
A Cuban sandwich. Ingredients (for three sandwiches) 1 loaf of Cuban bread 1/2 lb Sugar Cured Ham Sliced Thin 1/2 lb Pork Roast Sliced Thin 1/2 lb Swiss Cheese Sliced Mustard Butter 1 Dill Pickle Sliced thin For a real Cuban Sandwich, do not add anything else. You can find these ingredients must likely in U.S. (Miami), not in Cuba. In Cuba now, under Castro, ironically, a lunch consists of whatever they can find.
i would say pot roast it is good hot and if you shred it you can use it for sandwiches
