Girls at 15 have hit puberty which means they have hit their periods and they need more blood as they are getting rid of so much everyday.
If she keeps a healthy diet and eat her greens she should not need it but some need it due to menstruation.
Mainly because at 15 yrs of age a girl has surly started her monthly cycle, causing her to loose iron in her system resulting in anemia.
