Depends on where you live, here in Holland it won't be taken from you as long as its less then or equal to 5 grams

Added: (in the US) This can vary by state law AND under federal law. Under a certain amount may be considered 'personal use' in some states while others will charge you for possessing any amount.

Possessing over a certain amount could see you charged as a dealer (Possession With Intent to Distribute).

It's not against the law to smoke, it's only illegal to have...so if you are smoking a joint or a blunt and the cops roll up, eat it...they will def. search but if you dont have anything else on you then you will be good. That's why you dont drive around with it!

That will depend on the laws where YOU are- and on prior convictions, what they were doing with the marijuana (possessing, selling, giving it to a 9 year old, etc) and on how much they have (one joint, one pound, one ton) There is no way to determine exactly what sentence a judge may impose. It may range from a fine to life in prison, depending on ALL the circumstances.

You'll go away for about 3 weeks then you'll be put on all this stuff to make sure you don't smoke like meetings with a person to urine test you etc and you get a large ticket.
