Boaz was actually much older than Ruth and while The Bible is silent on numbers, different traditions have speculated that he was up to forty years her senior.
No in fact Abraham and Sarai were ten years apart. More than likely, Ruth and Boaz were much farther apart in age than that, so age difference is not an issue. It does however put a premium on family, espescially parental, approval. It was unthinkable for a couple to marry in biblical times without approval of both families.
A is 23% older than CA=12, whileB=11C=-- To figure out that A is older than we add 12% from A then 11% from B totalling 23%
Certainly. Math is much older than English.
The word "tetrahedron" comes from ancient Greek. The shape can be observed in methane molecules which exist in outer space and are much older than the Solar system. So tetrahedra are at least 4 billion years older than human beings!

As far as we know from the Bible record yes. There is no record of him having a wife before. In the light of comments he made to Ruth, it appears that he never did get married before and that also he was considerably older than she, the implication being that before too many years she would be caring for an old man. The kinsman of Elimelech, being requested by Boaz to marry Ruth, said, "I can not redeem; for I have a wife and have no right to take another in addition to her, lest she be a disturbance in my house and destroy my peace. Redeem thou; for thou hast no wife."
Boaz wanted to marry Ruth in a form of levirate marriage, which serves as a memorial for the deceased relatives. He was aware that another living relative had precedence, so instead of immediately marrying Ruth, he publicly consulted with the other relative first (Ruth ch.4). See also:More about Ruth
Mike Murdock (a tele evangelist) explains it as: Anointed numbers (and a Boaz anointing)- “The reason I’m praying for 70 is that number is a anointing number under Moses, And God said whoever the 70 people are that respect your mantle , that respect your anointing, Moses every time I bless you I’ll bless them. What I’m asking God to do is every time He blesses mike Murdock he blesses you, every time he gives me a financial idea he gives you one. Every time he silences the Devil for me he’ll silences an enemy for you. Every time God heals my son he heals yours. That’s a Boaz anointing, the anointing you respect is the anointing that grows in your life.” I believe Murdock invented it and I don't understand what it has to do with the book of Ruth. Boaz means "strength. " The story of Boaz is found in the Book of Ruth. I know Boaz means strength so it can't have anything to do with the name. Boaz was a very wealthy man who lived in Bethlehem. When Naomi returned to Bethlehem with her widowed daughter-in-law, Ruth, she sent Ruth into the fields of Boaz to glean. Boaz learned that Ruth's deceased husband was a distant relative of his. He acted kindly towards Ruth and instructed his farm workers to leave extra sheaves of barley for her to gather. Ruth had another relative of her late husband who was closer than Boaz. By law, the other relative was obligated to marry Ruth, as stated in Deuteronomy 25:5-10. Boaz confronted the other relative with this law, and after the relative refused to marry Ruth, Boaz agreed to marry Ruth, and to buy the estate of Ruth's deceased husband. After they got married, Ruth had a son named Obed, who became the father of Jesse, who became the father of David. Boaz and Ruth became the great-grandparents of King David. It sounds like he just took a wealth man in the Bible and tied in other Biblical stuff and made up an anointing.

By word and deed Ruth demonstrated loyal love to her mother-in-law Naomi. (Ruth 1:8-17; 2:11) Ruth love for Naomi was such that, later, others were able to say that she was better to Naomi than seven sons. (Ruth 4:15) Ruth also became the mother of Boaz' son Obed and an ancestress of King David and also of Jesus Christ.(Ruth 4:1-21; Matthew 1:5, 16)

Naomi knew Boaz was a relative:Rth 2:20 "May the LORD bless Boaz!" Naomi exclaimed. "The LORD always keeps his promises to the living and the dead." And she went on, "That man is a close relative of ours, one of those responsible for taking care of us." [GNB]Naomi also knew the Law about Levirite marriages :-Deu 25:5 "If two brothers live on the same property and one of them dies, leaving no son, then his widow is not to be married to someone outside the family; it is the duty of the dead man's brother to marry her.Deu 25:6 The first son that they have will be considered the son of the dead man, so that his family line will continue in Israel.Deu 25:7 But if the dead man's brother does not want to marry her, she is to go before the town leaders and say, 'My husband's brother will not do his duty; he refuses to give his brother a descendant among the people of Israel.'Deu 25:8 Then the town leaders are to summon him and speak to him. If he still refuses to marry her,Deu 25:9 his brother's widow is to go up to him in the presence of the town leaders, take off one of his sandals, spit in his face, and say, 'This is what happens to the man who refuses to give his brother a descendant.'Deu 25:10 His family will be known in Israel as 'the family of the man who had his sandal pulled off.'Boaz was most touched by Ruth's offer of Levirite marriage as her husband had died but left her childless and she was related to Boaz:-Rth 3:10 And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. [KJ]This is more understandable in a modern version:-Rth 3:10 "The LORD bless you," he said. "You are showing even greater family loyalty in what you are doing now than in what you did for your mother-in-law. You might have gone looking for a young man, either rich or poor, but you haven't. [GNB]The Bible does not say how old Ruth and Boaz were, but implies that Boaz is somewhat older than Ruth. However, according to Jewish tradition Boaz was then eighty years of age, and Ruth forty. (See Midrash Ruth, fol. 31. 4. & 34. 2.)
