Bismarck, North Dakota received a total of 85.4 inches (216.9 cm) of snow during the 2010-2011 winter season according to NOAA. Bismarck received 50 to 56 inches of snow in 2011.

It usually starts snowing in northern Virginia around December. That is if it is gonna snow. Some years it dose not. Other times like in 2009 winter It was a crazy blizzard. So you never really know.
