You do not need to eat any sugar, ever. The body needs glucose which it makes naturally from the food you eat like potatoes, bread, fruit, and vegetables. If you decide to have sugar or a product that contains sugar (even though it would be better for your body if you did not) make sure that it is natural, unprocessed, unrefined sugar (pure cane sugar, glucose). You especially want to avoid fructose, which is the sugar that is in soda's, sports drinks, candy and many other things.
