You should use no more than about 55 ccs or two ounces of thinner to a litre of paint. Always check the instructions on the label to make sure.
c thinner
A mixing ratio given as 4:2:1 normally means 4 parts of base product, 2 parts thinner/reducer, and 1 part hardener. However, some paint manufactures add hardener second, and thinner/reducer last.
ratio of catalyst to paint
From what I've read you need one gallon of paint to cover between 300 to 400 sq. ft. If you are not going dramatically from one color to another (light to light), then you can probably get away with 1 gallon to 400 sq. ft. However if you are going from a dark to light color, then you should do you calculations with the one gallon to 300 sq. ft. ratio or even less. So, if you're going from light to light you're going to need a minimum of 2 1/2 gallons ( I don't believe you can get a 1/4 gallon of paint) of paint to cover 900 sq. ft. If you are going from a dark to a light then you are going to need a minimum of 3 gallons of paint. I would consult this with an associate at the store though or a professional painter. I have two gallon of paint. Same brand name. one is egg shell the other is flat. can I mix the to together? ANSWER: As long as they are the same base, water or oil, you can mix them together. Realize though, that you will never be able to get touch up for the paint once it runs out unless you mix to a ratio that can be recreated.
1.25 litres
1 to 4
This depends on the type of paint. You will have to follow those directions. The colour coat I used recently does not use thinner. The clear coat used 25% thinner and 25% hardener.
6 gal and 2 qts 1 gallon = 4 quarts 1 quart = 0.25 gallon

2 pints to 2 gallons can be reduced to 1 pint to 1 gallon, and there are 2 pints in a quart, and 4 quarts in a gallon, so there are 8 (2x4) pints in 1 gallon
ratio of catalyst to paint
one gallon has four quarts in it and 1 half gallon has two quarts and two gallons has eight quarts and 2 1/2 gallons has 10 quarts
3 quarts oil, 1 quart gas
The yield for a gallon of product that has a ratio of 1:128?
Yes, 20 miles:1 gallon is a ratio.
