You can go and get a free estimate from a trans. shop. Your decision is that you will have the same cost to remove and install trans. The difference is the cost of overhaul and used. Overhaul you will have warrenty where the used one usally has a 30 day warr. but if it goes out you pay the labor again. Sometimes the little extra money is worth it. If you decide on used find a rep. salvage yard and sometimes they will switch trans. at a reasonable charge.Good luck.
You can go to your local junkyard which would probaly cost you a $1.

I found one for $100 dollars for my 96 Chevy silverado. However, it would depend upon the junkyard that you go to. The best thing that you could do would be to call around to the local yards.
Probably 150 to 200 if you have it done. If you can do it yourself, the glass would cost 25-50 from a junkyard.
