In a car, just spray a product called BG Frigi Fresh in the vents once a year.
In a home, that depends on the home and where you live but regular duct cleaning is probably unnecessary for most householders..........
Talking about my home air vents and wondering how to clean them, can I rent a machine to do it, how much should that rental cost, and how long should it take with 5 air ducts?
A HOME OWNER SHOULD CLEAN THEIR VENTS A MINIMUM OF THREE TIMES A YEAR. IT IS IMPORTANT FOR AIR QUALITY AND PERSONAL HEALTH.
There isn't a definite answer to the question. It depends on the situation. If there is moisture (which can promote mold growth) in your ducts, you should do it once or twice a year, but the general recommendation is that your vents and ducts should be cleaned every two years.
D:) Yearly.
You can clean the air conditioning by vacuuming out the air conditioning vents. You can also clean the air conditioning condenser vent screen.
how to clean downdraft air vents Impossible to bring up the answers on your site. Extremely frustrating.
Yes. Do it every 1 - 2 weeks once.
In my opinion where the supply vents are located is not as important as where the return air vents are located. the supply vents should be located towards the outer walls if possible. the return air vents should be located towards the center of the dwelling if possible. every effort should be made to get the return air vents as high as possible on the wall , if not in the ceiling.Remember you are trying to get the warm air back to the a-coil so it can be pumped outside through the refrigeration lines to the condensing unit. if the ductwork is used for heating also you should put some return air vents down low to get the cool air to the furnace. This is my personal opinion and may not be everyones.
One can clean the air ducts by getting a bucket with warm water and wiping down the ducts individually. However, please note it may not produce the same results as having them cleaned professionally.
Yes. They are there to draw the air back into the furnace that blows out of your heat/cooling vents. They help create air circulation and clean the air that is "returned" to the furnace and passes thru the furnace filter.
The most common cause of an air conditioner not blowing air is a plugged filter. Be sure your filter is clean.
There should be at least a 12 degree split between the incomming air and the air comming out of the vents.
