Her manager and fan club-president (Yolanda ) killed her. Trying to avoid the subject of her taking money from Selena's boutiques, Yolanda told Selena that she had been raped. After taking Yolanda to the hospital and finding no proof of Yolanda being raped, Selena went to a motel with her and told her that she couldn't trust her anymore. Yolanda drew a gun from her bag and shot Selena in the back. Selena ran outside the room and collapsed on the lobby floor. Yolanda was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, but will be eligible for parole after 30 years (2025).
