This is very exciting. I havent seen an old bluey in a while. My grandmother used to have a couple. I know from her own personal mystique, prices range accordingly but you have to make sure its in perfect order. The spelling too is worth looking at. Back in the 40s when they used to make these little buggers, mangonese children used to inscribe the word perfect but because of their lack of knowledge of the English language its spelled wrong so yes. I believe you have quite a find and you may want to take it in to a prized appraiser. If I could guess, I would say its worth 1 million dollars.

You can go to an antique dealer or call them and describe your jars. They should be able to give you the going rate.

Blue Mason Jars do not 'turn' blue, they are manufactured from a greenish/bluish glass. This glass contains trace amounts of Iron and/or Cobalt ... the greater the concentration, the deeper the color.
Blue spelt backwards is eulb.

Blue mason jars with iron crosses are worth more than regular mason jars. Online venders sell them for between 8 and 25 dollars, depending upon the condition of the jar.
