Well, I sit in the front seat and I am 12 but I think I started when I was eleven. I am still not allowed to sit in the front seat when we drive for a long time or go on dange…rous roads. I am 5 foot 3 but I would say that 4 foot 10 is a good height. I hope that helps!
It is legal for any child of any age to ride in the front seat of any vehicle in Canada. There are no specific laws making this illegal. Transport Canada recommends turnin…g off their airbag when possible and notes that the back seat would be safer. But since many vehicles, including pick up trucks without backseats and many sports cars, smart cars, etc, only have front seats, it's perfectly okay for any child to sit in the front, provided they are properly restrained and using the appropriate child safety seat.
