Stain on asphalt can be removed with a good grease removing household cleaner. For concrete, the stain may have to be removed with muriatic acid.
Not really bad for the driveway, but bad for any animals or children that would get into it. Just hit the stain area with dish detergent and hose it off with alot of water to dilute it as much as possible.
We would need to know what caused the stain and what kind of surface it's on. The procedure to clean an oil stain off of concrete is going to be much different than cleaning a red wine stain off of furniture.
maybe try cleaning it or not spill the oil spill clean with lighter fluid
cleaning up the snow off the driveway or sidewalk
If its just affecting the surface then scrub with a wire brush, it the dye has soaked into the concrete then nothing will 'clean' it, you either replace the concrete, paint over it or accept you have a new feature on your driveway.

to get an egg stain off of a concrete driveway, go to your local pool supply and get a bottle of muratic acid.be careful not to get any on yourself, children or pets. pour the acid on the stain and let set,if you desire, you could use a stiff broom to get the stain off. as for the door, it will need to be sanded and re-painted, if you have thew same paint on the door, you can just redo the area where the stain is at
Cat litter is great for that. After the majority of the oil soaks up into the litter you scoop that up, then put a little more on the stain that will still be there. Grind the new dry kitty litter into the oil stain with your shoe until it looks like dust, then sweep that up. You may have to do that several times to get it all the way up. After all that, (I assume the driveway is cement) you can get it a little damp and put some laundry soap on it and scrub the spot. Eventually it will get most if not all of the oil up. Have fun!
coca cola and sand. worked for me. also coke is good for cleaning of your battery terminals if they're dirty and nasty :-)
Start by scraping off everything you can with a spatula or similar tool. The stain and residue on the concrete may be permanent, but you could try concrete cleaners designed to get oil stains out.
the best way to get paint off your driveway would be mineral turpentine.
Last resort, if the oil and tar won't come off with regular cleaning brush, you can use a pressure washer surface cleaner from bestcargurus along with your pressure washer, that will surely do the job.
