All the greek gods were either children of Knonus and his wife, children of two gods, children of one god and one mortal human, or sometimes but rarely a child of a god and a monster, dryad, naiad, sea creature or any other random thing.

They made their gods by making up stories. These stories explained natural phenomenon. They then imagined the gods with human bodies but awesome powers.
